Amedea (aah-muh-day-uh) is an 18-year-old singer / songwriter from a small town in East Texas.
In late summer 2023, Amedea was introduced to East Texas native and Nashville based producer-engineer Geoffrey Mutchnik. In February of 2024, they co-wrote a collection of songs together at the historic KSIJ radio station and studio in Gladewater, TX.
In March 2024, they began playing cover sets together, Amedea singing and Geoffrey accompanying on electric guitar. At her third performance at Logan’s Restaurant, Mineola, TX native Kacey Muscgraves made an appearance offering encouragement. Amedea continued expanding her catalog of covers through the year and played a total of 26 performances around East Texas.
In summer 2025, Amedea moved to Nashville, TN and began co-writing with Geoffrey his peers collecting songs for her first full length record. She has an unreleased catalog of 40 plus songs to date and can be seen performing cover sets with originals sprinkled in around Texas and Tennessee. Covers include but are not limited to Chris Stapleton, Kacey Muscgraves, Carole King, Norah Jones, the Eagles, Keith Whitley, Willie Nelson, and Patsy Cline.
